Around Seville

Since I have school during the week, I haven't had time to see anything big this week. I have seen a few small things that I wanted to post about! Below is a picture of the columns of Hercules and Julius Caesar. These date back to the roman times. They were transferred over to be the head of the promenade. The area has pretty gardens and lots of popular restaurants. At the other end of the four square, there are two more columns of lions. It was a neat place to visit!

We have also gone to two shows since we have been here! One show was a fusion of three cultures. It was really interesting to see the song, dance, and instruments of the different cultures come together. The three cultures were Hebrew, Muslims, and Christians... I think!

We also went to a traditional flamenco show. The flamenco dance started out with just the voice back in the 18th century, but it has evolved to dancing and playing the guitar also. We were literally sitting two feet away from the stage so it was really cool to be that close and see the emotions of the singer, dancer, and instrumentalist.

This is a neat picture of Taylor and I in front on the side of the Cathedral! The Giralda part is in the background too!

Thank you Great Grandma Katie for the wonderful letter! I was very surprised and it was very nice of you!

Adios!
